News - 12/24/2011 Dakota has found a loving home with the Springer Family in Texas. They made the drive here today in the wet and cold to take her home. Dakota is going to be very happy with her new owner. All puppies have been spoken for or adopted. For those interested in our next litter, please check back in March for Bailey's next litter. Thank you to all of our adopting families. It was a pleasure to meet you all and I hope you stay in touch.

Puppy Socialization Party

About Us
We are a proud owner and breeder of the versatile Miniature Australian Shepherd. We specialize in breeding to improve the breed standard and provide healthy, happy, and well-socialized family friendly puppies. Our Aussies
get lots of love and attention from the day they are born. They each
have their own private area to call home and plenty of room to roam when
it's time to exercise and play. Our goal is to provide the best possible match for each puppy to ensure they are provided with a loving home.
Man's Best Therapy
About 4 years ago I experienced a traumatic event while driving alone. I had a sudden shortness of breath, rapid heartbeat, and felt lightheaded and fatigued. It was so intense that I had to pull over and lay my seat back to catch my breath. I thought for sure it was a heart attack. I went to the Emergency Room but they found nothing wrong. After numerous tests, the doctors were still unable to determine the cause or what to do to fix it. The only explanation I ever received was that it might be Stage III Adrenal Fatigue.
Fast forward 2 years later. At this point my mental and physical health has slightly improved. A family member suggested certain hobbies and jobs that would be a good distraction since I was mostly home bound at the time due to the symptoms. One such suggestion was to get a dog. I began searching for a good therapy dog, but I also needed one that would be trainable and encourage me to get outside more often.
The Miniature Australian Shepherd was the perfect match of energy, loving companion, and train-ability. That's why I call this breed a therapy dog (even though they usually aren't used in that specific capacity). Our Aussies have been such an important addition to our family, and me personally. I'm not sure if I will ever get rid of the daily symptoms that slow me down, but I know that this special breed will continue to be more therapeutic than any drug that can be prescribed.
