Beamer was our first 'real' ACD that we obtained.  He was a joy to show as a puppy, finishing his champion at 16 months of age with some big wins over some really good specials.  He's decided now that showing is for sissies and he would rather not participate.  Being the big man at home suits him just fine.  Beamer is learning some obedience and agility and may in the future grace our persence in those venues...but only after I convince him that the posts in the figure 8 are not his and he cannot claim them as his.  Beamer's pedigree can be seen here.  He is a pattern B for PRA, hips good, elbows normal, heart normal and has bi-lateral hearing.  He is available for stud to approved bitches.

Beamer's first major came 8 months of age under breeder judge Carol Anne Kriesel in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  What a surprise to me!  As you can tell from the picture he was mostly legs at that time and had not even started to fill out.  But Ms Kriesel told me later that she could see the potential in my boy and liked the way he presented himself in the ring.  And for icing on the cake that day...she put him up as Best of Breed.

Beamer's second major was at the Louisville cluster of shows in March 2005.  He had really started to mature in the few months between the Ft. Wayne shows and Louisville.  Judge Janet Nahikian pulled him as Best Opposite that day above some very good specials for a 5 pt major!
