| Luke was rescued from a rescue. When I went to look at other ACDs, none of which suited me, the lady told me that she had some boys in a trailer. The trailer was one of those utility trailers with no ventilation or lights. The boys were in crates stacked on top of each other inside the trailer. She brought Luke out first. He wasn't your average looking ACD but he was so happy to be free from the dungeon...he was yodeling and jumping up and down...very excited and all I could think of was "Wow, what an agility dog he could be". I called his name and he came directly to me. I put a leash on him and he didn't pull or act crazy. I walked him around a little and he responded to me like he knew me from the beginning. Well, it was a new beginning for Luke. He came home with me that day. And so starts our lives with Australian Cattle Dogs. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| Luke and I trained in agility from the very beginning. He was a natural which is a lot more than I can say for myself. After a couple years of training the dog and more importantly training me...I decided to enter him in a trial. Now we didn't go for just any trial...noooooooo...we had to enter the ACDCA Nationals in Tennessee. But Luke was up for it. His handler on the other hand wasn't so sure. But we both made it through in style bringing home some blue ribbons. So 2006 saw us in Minnesota at the Specialty...again bringing home some blue ribbons and finishing both his Novice Standard, Novice Jumpers and Novice Rally titles. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| Luke loves his agility and I love running him and training. He's a great jumper and watches me like a hawk! So...Luke is our first .... AKC ILP ACD with a partial alphabet behind his name...RN, NA, NAJ, HIC...we'll work on putting more letters behind his name soon. |
