How to Leash Train Your New Puppy

The video below is a great example of what you can expect from a puppy that has not been leashed trained at all. It usually only takes a week of 5 to 10 minute sessions per day before 8 week old puppies get used to walking on leash.

I receive questions from time to time about what to look for when selecting a puppy.  As a Breeder, I have the advantage of being able to evaluate multiple puppies as each litter is born and each puppy advances through its early stages of life.  It wasn't always that way though.  A few years ago when I got my first puppy it was all new to me and I had to rely on a mentor who had a great deal of experience in raising and socializing pups.
